Story
NZ Native Flora Ltd is a family-owned business established in Putaruru, South Waikato, in 2000. After transitioning from the dairy industry, the team relocated to Pyes Pa in Tauranga to focus on growing native plants and supporting New Zealand’s restoration projects.
NZ Native Flora operates two wholesale nursery properties: one at 400 meters above sea level, providing an ideal environment to grow and harden off plants, and the home block at 100 meters above sea level, offering excellent conditions for coastal planting.
Each year, NZ Native Flora grows and supplies a large number of healthy, high-quality native plants for the restoration of scenic reserves, forests, parks, streams, and farmlands. The business works closely with regional councils and other organisations to provide expert support and plant supply for initiatives that restore and enhance New Zealand’s natural landscapes.
